James Freddy "Shag" Thomas 77, Columbus, went to meet his heavenly Father, Monday, February 27, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Freddy was born in Toledo, OH on February 3, 1935, to James W. and Jane (Taylor) Thomas and is preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Anna Robinson.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Sheila (Robertson) Thomas; daughter, Tiffany (Rob) Pritchett; son, Sean (Tiffiny) Robertson; grandchildren, Jasmyne, London, Kamon, Noah; special friend, "Slim"; devoted sister-in-law; Tonnette Robertson; many additional brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Freddy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked for the city of Columbus for 30 years.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
