James E. Felty, 81, formerly of Ashville, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 29. James was born on July 1, 1942 to Chester and June Felty in Denton, Kentucky. Never forgetting his roots, Jim loved country cooking and bluegrass music. He was always singing a George Jones song or two as he was tinkering or in one of his many rocking chairs. He loved motorcycles and cars, collecting guitars, and he was an avid gun and knife enthusiast. He loved a good story behind the items he traded and collected.
He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Diana, his parents, June and Chester Felty, and his beloved brother, Curtis Felty. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Saundra, and daughter Donna (Todd) Davis of Mt. Sterling. He is also survived by sister, Bernice Bradford of Grayson, Kentucky and grandchildren: Sean Davis, Payne (Angel) Davis, Simon (Katie) Davis, Olivia (Josh) Liedtke, Nathan Hawk, Noah Hawk, and Nick ( Bailey Davisson) Hawk. His great-grandchildren: Ellie Davis, Maddie Davis, Colby Davis, Brody Davis, Remi Davis, Parker Davis, Tucker Liedtke, Dax Liedtke, and his nieces, uncle, and cousins.
