James Oliver Hart Jr., age 76, of Columbus, passed away on May 25, 2022. He was born on December 1, 1945, to the late James O. Hart Sr. and Mary Jane (Jackson) Hart.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Hart and his parents.
James was a Proud Vietnam Veteran, serving our nation in the United States Navy. He enjoyed dancing, golfing, fishing, racing and attending concerts. He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his children, Teresa M. (Ed) Badger, Jimmy C. (Kelly) Hart, Darren L. Hart, Douglas W. Hart, Douglas L. Hart; brother, Jerry Hart; sisters, Peggy (Bob) Voss, Pamela McClain, Patricia (Mark) Statler and Paula (Dwayne) Fults ; grandchildren, Mindy S. Davis, Sarah J. Berry, Abigail N. Badger and Stephanie Case; great-grandchildren, Maverick and Maddox Berry and Isabelle Berry; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to a Cancer Research center of your choice.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 4-7 p.m., at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, 43123, where Navy Military Honors will begin at 7 p.m.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Hart and his parents.
