James Jay Cooperrider, 44, of Columbus passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010. He was born December 27, 1965 in Columbus. Jay is survived by his wife, Julie Brown Cooperrider; sons, Luke and Justin Cooperrider; daughters, Kasey and Lindsey Sagraves; mother, Judy (Nelson) Dozer McLeese; brother, Jeffrey (Tracy) Cooperrider; sister, Julie (Bryan) Murphy; stepbrother, James (Rachel) McLeese; stepsister, Debbie Lewis; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Sloan and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Jay served in the Army during Desert Storm and was employed by Crete Carrier Corp. He was preceded in death by his father, John Cooperrider; maternal grandfather, James Dozer; paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Cooperrider. Visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 PM. Funeral service will be Monday March 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family visit www.NewcomerColumbus.com
