James L. McClure, 79, of Grove City passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Born on May 31, 1934 to the late James Homer and Hazel Grapelle McClure in Columbus, Ohio. Survived by wife of 56 years, Mary (Reese) McClure, children Doug (Jackie) McClure, Kim (Dennis) Shonebarger, Jim (Jennifer) McClure, six (6) grandchildren: John, Daniel (Jessica), Michael, Emily (Billy), Isabelle, Aidan. Brothers Jack McClure (Carol), Ron McClure (Nancy) and a host of family and friends. Preceded in death by his son, John David. Retired Ironworker (40 years) Local 172. United States Army Veteran. Loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by family and friends.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City on October 9, 2013 from 5 to 8pm.
Funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home at 10am. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, OH.
