James Edward Mentel Jr., 82, of Galloway, OH, passed away on June 23, 2023. He was born on May 21, 1941 in Columbus, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Elizabeth Mentel and sister, Donna Long.
Surviving family includes loving wife of 60 years, Marianne, children, Tracie (Todd) Bauman, Kim (Ed) Ward, Eddie (Karen) Mentel, grandchildren, Katie, Emily, great-grandson, Oliver, sisters, Irma (Larry) Griffith, Michelle (Bill) Dugan and loving extended family including nieces, Robin (Mark) Moore, Lauren (Chris) Moore and Lindsey (Matt) Tackett and their children, Eva, Nora and Luke.
Ed was a loving husband and father and retired from John Deere.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11am to 2pm, Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Summit Hospice.
