James R. "Jim" Davis

James R. "Jim" Davis, age 84, passed away on February 19, 2025. He was born on November 17, 1940 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Glenn and Lois Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice Davis Matthews. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy Foster Davis; daughters, Jamie Davis and Julie (Mike) Cowgill; grandchildren, Cody and Courtney; brother, Bob; dog, Buckeye. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He never met a stranger, always ready with a story or a helping hand. His greatest joy came from time spent with his loved ones and friends, whether gathered around the dinner table, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other's company. His many passions included traveling, and being an avid collector. JD retired from Goodyear after 43 dedicated years. Jim leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and countless cherished memories. Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 4:00pm until time of funeral service at 6:00pm. Interment to follow at Horeb Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio at 12:00pm on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
