RHUBOTTOM
James A. Rhubottom, Sr. 79 of Westerville passed away May 2, 2006 at St. Ann's Hospital. He was born on March 30, 1927 in St. Petersburg, Florida to the late William and Mary (Sharpe) Rhubottom. James faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II , where he received the Purple Heart, Silver Star and Marksman Awards. After the Service he moved to New Orleans where he started a 50 year career in Law Enforcement as a motorcycle officer. Jim held various positions in law enforcement in Texas and his last position before retirement was the Chief of Police in Brazoria, Texas. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Wanda (Meier) Rhubottom in 1992. He is survived by his Children, Monica Stanley, James Rhubottom, Jr. , Rebecca Rhubottom, and John (Julie) Rhubottom; Grandchildren, Chris Stanley, Nick Stanley, Philip James Elliott, Andrea Elliott, and Stephen Rhubottom; Brothers, Richard (Sally) Rhubottom, and Thomas (Martha) Rhubottom.
