James S. Harper, of Westerville, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012. He was a graduate of Cambridge High School and The Ohio State University. Served in the US Army, stationed in Alaska; worked for the US Postal Service and the Internal Revenue Service, and was self-employed in the health industry. Born May 2, 1933, in Kimbolton, OH.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by parents Columbus and Leota (Addis) Harper and brothers Rev. Franklin and Ray Harper. Survived by caring and devoted wife of 57 years, Margene; loving and supportive children, Philip and Eric (Mirna) Harper of Columbus, OH, Karen (Jonathan) Wiant of Rochester Hills, MI, and Janis (Gary) Cornelius of Galena, OH; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
A service of celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 7, in the sanctuary of Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville, OH at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to Central College Presbyterian Church.
