James Finley Sands

January 14, 1936 — February 18, 2022

James (Jim) was born in Corning, Ohio to the late Charles and Dessa (Fleming) Sands. Jim served in the United States Army. Jim retired from Lazarus and Southwestern City School District. Jim was a member and Deacon of Westhill Church of Christ until the church's closing, and was currently a member of Buckeye Christian Church in Grove City. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Kay (Hoffman) Sands, daughter, Rebecca Sands Higgins, sons, Robert (Nancy) Sands, and Bruce Sands. Jim is also survived by his Grandsons, James (Diana) Higgins, Joseph (Brandy) Higgins, Jeremy Sands (Erin Phillips), Shaun (Alicia) Sands, and Nicholas (Brittney) Sands along with 15 Great Grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his sister Patricia (Sands) Bostic and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
