James Paul Steinke, 53, of Delaware, OH, passed away at home on Monday, January 21, 2019. Born on September 30, 1965, he is lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Judy (Condit) Steinke; mother, Katherin (Culbertson) Steinke; son, James "Rey" Steinke; daughter Shannon Louise (Zachary) Farley with grandson Jedidiah Timothy Farley; his brother David (Cheri) Steinke; sister Cynthia Anderson; nephew John (Kirsten) Keplar, with Bobby and Kaitlin; nephew Matthew (Tracie) Steinke and baby Graham; and niece, Jennie Keplar. We especially want to thank nephew, John Keplar, for being James' best friend and a rock for our family through many trials and experiences. James is preceded in death by his father, Leo Steinke and brother in law, Steve Anderson. James loved and excelled at anything related to computers and technology, working in IT for many years. He was a quiet man who enjoyed spending time with family, including pets; bowling; playing billiard pool; card games such as Blackjack, Rummy and Euchre; brain teasers; going to the movies; music (as he was formerly a DJ), and reading science fiction books.
Friends and family may visit Sunday January 27, 2019 from 2 pm -4 pm with a funeral service to directly follow at 4 pm at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City OH. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday January 28, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg OH. Burial to follow at Greenmound Cemetery, Delaware OH.
