James W. "Bud" Stewart, 73, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Doctors West Hospital. He was born June 28, 1936, in Denton, KY, son of the late Balis and Gladys Cartwright Stewart. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Christ. He was a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge #626 Willard, KY, a Kentucky Colonel and retired from Sygma Network after 19 years of service. Bud is survived by his wife, Gwelda "Ann" Whitt Stewart; sons, Jay (Cheryl) Stewart of Frankfort, OH and Jon Stewart of Columbus, OH; brother, William "Cy" (Janie) Stewart of Pt. Pleasant, W.Va.; grandchildren, Jason Stewart of West Jefferson, OH, Matthew (Ashley) Stewart of Newton, N.C., David Stewart of Maiden, N.C. and Jessica Marie Stewart of Maiden, N.C.; brother-in-law, Frank Christ of Louisville, KY and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City and also Monday, January 18, 2010 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Malone Funeral Home, 325 Malone Lane Grayson, KY. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in East Carter County Cemetery.
