James D. "Jim" Stewart, 71, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 2, 2012. Jim was born August 18, 1941 in Lamberton, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Carrie Stewart.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 8 siblings.He is survived by his loving wife, Fran Stewart; son, David (Kelly) Stewart; daughter, Kim (Steve) Miller; step-children, Brian (Amanda) Budd, Julie (Jomo) Browne, Lindsay (Jason) Veselica; sister, Lorraine Dudas; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Jim was owner and President of Stewart Motor Car, Inc. He is a member of Lower Lights Community Church of the Nazarene. He was a past member and served on the board of the Hilltop Business Association, Franklinton Board of Trade, past Hilltop Commissioner and Better Business Bureau. Jim sponsored Cars in the Park (Hilltop Bean Dinner) for many years.
Jim wanted to bring more people to know God, therefore contributions may be made to the Lower Lights Community Church of the Nazarene or Lower Lights Ministries, 1066 Bellows Ave, Columbus, OH 43223
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday September 6, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday with Pastors, Mike Vallangeon and Owen Stotts officiating. Interment to follow in Mifflin Twp. Cemetery.
