James A Teach

James Alan Teach, 84, of Columbus, passed away July 29. 2024. James was born in Miamisburg, Ohio on October 17, 1939 to the late Edgar and Hazel Teach. He was preceded in death by his sister Georgia Morgan, and son Tim McClintick. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jane; son Scott McClintick, daughter Julie (Randy) Boggs, granddaughters Jessica (Kyle) Pashovich, Amanda Boggs, Emily (Cody) Nininger, and Sarah (Tony) Blankenship, and great-grandchildren Levi, Claire, Lilly, Hallie, and Theo, nephews Brian Campbell, David Campbell and niece Holly Stir.

He spent his youth in the rural village of Plattsburg, Ohio and had fond memories of antics experienced with his good friend Ronnie McClintick. He enjoyed spending time with family and especially with his granddaughters and great grandchildren. He enjoyed flying his radio controlled plane and spending time outdoors. He was a graduate of Northeastern High School in Springfield. He was employed by Borden Dairy as a delivery driver for 22 years, and Penske Logistics as a driver for 13 years. In 2005 Jane and Jim retired to Homosassa, Florida where they enjoyed the beautiful weather and entertaining family and friends that would visit. He always enjoyed keeping busy and worked part-time during his retirement at the local Publix in Homosassa for 13 years.

The family would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to the staff of The Grand of Dublin and Transitions Care Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association. 

A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Plattsburg Cemetery where his ashes will be laid to rest.
