James L. Trout, 81, of Columbus, passed away Monday, March 20th surrounded by his family. He was born March 30, 1941 to James and Inez Trout. Jim attended school in Albany, Ohio. He was a man of many talents and pursued a variety of careers. Some of his most notable were Ohio Mine Worker, Long-haul Trucker, Corrections Officer at the Ohio State Penitentiary and Orient State Prison; ending his working career with Palmer-Donavin Manufacturing. Jim had a generous spirit and regularly donated to local children, schools, toys-for-tots, and through his church. He and others from Palmer-Donavin were recognized by CFD for rescuing over 40 people trapped in a fire, in 1997. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 23 years Diane and family, Marlo (Donald) Cassady, Matthew (Cassi) Lynn, Barry (Jamie) Lynn, Patty (Josh) Lynn, Charlie Humphries, and many other loving family members. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Stanley and Johnny, and his beloved son Jamie.
