James William Middleton, age 87, of Grove City, OH, formerly of Xenia, OH passed away Tues., Aug. 4, 2015 at Monterey Care Center. Born Dec. 7, 1927 in Clinton County, OH, son of Wayne and Alice (Doughfman) Middleton.
Member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Xenia Masonic Chapter #36, Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree, and a former member of Xenia Lions Club. 1945 graduate of Xenia Central HS. Retired from Bob Evans Farms, as a Divisional Sales Manager, in 1981. After retirement he and his wife lived in Naples, FL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Helen (Faulkner) Middleton, son David Middleton of Grove City, OH, daughter Cindy (Jon) Silveous of Washington CH. Grandchildren Josh (Lisa) Silveous, Thad Middleton, Molly (Mark) Lotz, Megan (Drew) Hurd. Great-grandchildren, Ava, Lyla, Keena, Lucy Hurd, McKenzie and Danilynn Middleton, Brennen and Abby Silveous, Audrey and Alison Lotz, step-great-grandson, Andrew Hurd, sister Martha Cunningham, brother John (Mona Fae) Middleton, sisters-in-law Joandel and Emily, brothers-in-law Harry (Alice) Osman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, sisters Anna Adamnson and Mary Osman, brothers Don Middleton, Robert Middleton, brothers-in-law, Tom Adamson and Gene Cunningham.
James was truly a man that cared for those around him by being a loving husband, a devoted father, and a trusted friend.
Memorial Service Sat., Aug. 8, 2015 at 11am with gathering one hour prior at Trinity United Methodist Church, 4850 Haughn Rd., Grove City, OH with Rev. Ruth Pribe officiating.
