Jan Fairbanks, 53, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 5, 1956 to the late Richard Brown and Phyllis Cochran in Columbus, Ohio. Jan is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Larry Fairbanks; daughters, Christy (Daniel) Castle, and April (Jason) Bock; grandchildren, Maddy, B.J., Sam, and Jessi; sister, Peggy (Phil) Nelson; brother, David Brown; step-mother, Lucille Deeter, and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Michael Sammons officiating. Interment will follow at Alton Cemetery.
