Jane Brown, 93, of Mt. Sterling was called home on August 13, 2022. 1 of 12 children, she was born to Wladyslaw and Pelagia (Wielichowska) Bugaj in Roslyn Heights, New York on August 26, 1928.
Devout, caring, reliable, generous, feisty, independent - words chosen by family and friends to describe her. As an Air Force wife, Jane followed her late husband, Robert C. Brown, around the world, creating a home wherever they landed. It took her 30 years to get the Orlando "retirement" house just right, when they packed up again and moved to Ohio to be close to their daughter, Patricia Brown (Schobert) and family.
Jane's world was defined by the people in it - family, friends, a long-time employer and her church. An active member of St. Colman of Cloyne in Washington Courthouse, she was a devout Catholic, taking her faith with her wherever she moved and raising her children in the Church.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Patricia and Ann; son, Louis; Air Force sister, Cora Henry; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, including Brandon Schobert, who tirelessly maintained her home in her final years.
