Jane Ann Minton

April 26, 1952 — January 14, 2023

Jane Ann Minton, age 70, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in her Mt
Sterling home with her husband by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Findlay, OH on April 26, 1952 to the late Harry A. and Doris J.
(Christman) Parke. She married her best friend, David A. Minton on March 24, 2000.
She is survived by two children: Stacy (Jason) Pierce of Knoxville, TN and Ryan (Amy)
DeVore of Chicago, IL. Jane has six grandchildren: Harrison, Anderson and Karrington
Pierce, and Timothy, Maggie and Joseph DeVore. Also surviving are two brothers: Tom
(Jodi) Parke of Mt. Blanchard, and Richard Parke of Findlay.
Jane worked for the telecommunications company, Ameritech, during the launch of
cellular phones. She then transitioned to in-home support with Catholic Social
Services and Suzie's Helping Hands until she subcontracted with Jane 4 Cleaning. She
provided housekeeping assistance, companionship, grocery shopping, errands, and
more. Jane will be remembered for her genuine interest in serving those in need, as
she voluntarily delivered meals on Christmas Day with CSS, and generously provided
gifts for children during the holidays.
Jane was also a sincere animal lover, caring for many pets during her lifetime, and
providing homemade suet cakes for the birds who frequented her yard. She also
enjoyed local festivals, farmers markets, crossword puzzles, bird watching, and treating
family and friends to intimate gourmet dinners she lovingly prepared with her husband.
Services will be held Friday, January 20th, beginning with an 11:45 AM escort from
Newcomers Funeral Home in Grove City to the gravesite service and burial at St.
Joseph's Cemetery in Lockbourne, OH. Pam Kimmel will be officiating. Very special
thanks to the Loving Care Hospice team who provided exceptional care and support.
