Janet Kay Powell

Janet Kay (Morris-Abram) Powell, 83, passed away peacefully September 12, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 14, 1940 to Rudolph and Kathleen Morris in Corning OH. She is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Willard and Roger Morris and husband Ernie Powell. She was beloved by her children Tom (Karen) Abram, Margie Price, Amy (Bryon) Coleman and Julie Webb. She adored her grandchildren Tommy and Alex Abram, Tyler and Austin Price, Courtney Coleman, Kristen (Coleman) Phillips, Shelby and Sydnee Abram and Shelia (Webb) Hill. She enjoyed being a great grandma to Luke Abram, Riley, Avery and Harmony Price, Tatum Coleman and Zion Hill. She held a special place in her heart for Bergen and Vera Roof who welcomed her to their home after her mother passed away and she loved her "sister-cousins" Mary Jo Jones and Sandy Buty. She is a graduate of Corning High School where she was a cheerleader. She raised her children in Columbus OH before moving to Newark OH after her marriage to Ernie Powell. She loved her jobs as a freeze model at the Longaberger Homestead and a day care provider at Noah's Ark. She enjoyed collecting bells, beanie babies and Longaberger baskets. She was the life of the party and always had a smile on her face. The outpouring of love from many friends and family over the last two weeks is testament to how much she was loved. In lieu of flowers please donate to Mt Carmel Hospice 777 W State St, Columbus, OH 43222 who made her last days very peaceful. Wake for family and friends will be held at the Elks Lodge #37, 2140 Sonora Drive, Grove City, OH immediately following the funeral service.
