Janette Thomas

Janette Thomas, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on July 24, 2023.

Janette preceded in death Thomas and Hazel White, including her siblings Randel, Rudolph, Jim Henry, and Don, Abbie, and Ann.

Janette was born in a small town in West Virginia and moved to Columbus, Ohio with her late Husband, Wilbert Thomas and has called this home ever since. Janette leaves behind two sons Ron and wife Debby, and Dave, three grandchildren Angela, Ian, and Renee, six great grandchildren Brian, Ian Hunter, Nevaeh, Olivia, Aaliyah, and Elijah. There are so many memories in that yard, everyone has their own favorite area. Janette would swing her in swing, rock in the chair, snap beans, and grow tomatoes and other vegetables her garden to can, she truly enjoyed the outdoors. Janettes proudest accomplishments are from volunteering, she gave her mornings to helping feed Columbus' babies,joined Big Brother Big Sister organization and earned many awards for her dedication to helping the kids of Columbus. Janette also leaves behind a special friend in Caroline, that she met and loved on for thirty plus years.

Janette has a special place in her heart for pets, as a child she tried to keep every animal she could, as an adult she placed all her love into her dogs. Janette's hobbies include staying hip and chic, bonded with her boys with road trips and concerts, yard sales of any number or size, grabbing some bologna, bread, chips, and mustard and going on a drive to find farm fields that had the best view, macramé, ceramics, and her flowers in the yard. She didn't have just one green thumb but two! Please join me in saying good bye to Janette, services are at Newcomer funeral home Grove City Tuesday August 1, 2024 5:00-8:00pm.
