Janice Arlene Buckingham (Smith)

Janice A. Buckingham, age 94, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on February 23, 2025. Janice was born on June 28, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Kinsel Hill and Mabel Shaw.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Adolphus Henry Smith and Jack Gilbert Buckingham, her sons, Danny and Dean Smith, her step-son, Jack Buckingham Jr.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Linda (Steve) Fleming, David (Theresa) Smith, and Doug Smith, her step-children, Sid Buckingham, Rita Starkey, Vicky Gaines, her brother, Ronald Hill, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the best pie maker in America. She loved to cook. Everyone affectionately knew her as "Grandma." She loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and all sports. She hosted the best Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. 

She will be deeply missed.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, from 5pm-7pm for calling hours, with a memorial service starting at 7pm.
