Janice D. DeLong, age 75, passed away on December 7, 2020. She was born on April 25, 1945 to the late Pearl and Garland Kanniard.
Janice gave her heart to the Lord in October 2018 and was baptized by Eric Jenkins. She enjoyed her grandchildren and telling stories about her childhood. Her family will miss her cooking, especially her chili and sausage gravy and homemade biscuits.
Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eldon J. DeLong; brothers, Tommy, John and Dencil. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Garland McCall; Sheilla Smith, Angela (Josh) Steele; siblings, Harold, Richard, Georgiabelle, Chuck, Gwyneth; grandchildren, Nikki Cargill, TC Cargill, Jessica (Branden) Smith, Johnathon (Aubrey) Smith, Dezi (Lucky) Cargill; great-grandchildren, My'Kienna, Lani, Bella, Serenity, Landon, Jadakis, Janoah, Addie; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by burial in Sabina, Ohio.
