Jared E. Walker, 40, passed away in hospice at the OSU Wexner Medical Center on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
Jared (JD as he was affectionately called by friends and family) was the second child born to Eugene M. and Gail Walker on August 7, 1982 in Columbus, Ohio.
Jared is preceded in death by his father, Eugene M. and sister, Lauren Tiffani Thornwell.
Jared is survived by his daughter, Janiyah Sheppard; mother, Gail Walker; fiancée, Brittany Harris; sister, Staci (Marcus) Smith; brother, Kevin (Heather) Washington; sister, Danyell Rubin; uncle, Gary (Sandy) Pittman, aunts, Judy Chaplin, Kathy Pittman; nieces, Mya Smith, Ariya Thornwell, Khayla Washington, Nyla Cohen; nephews, Marcus Smith, Jr., Makai Smith, Maxwell Smith, Bradley (Tre) Price III, Michael Rispress, Devin Washington, and a host of cousins, family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 with the funeral service immediately following at 1:00 pm.
