Jean Alice Anderson, 87, formerly of Youngstown, passed away peacefully June 19, 2010 at Friendship Village of Dublin. Jean was born January 13, 1923, in Youngstown, daughter of Harry and Geraldine Meyers. She lived in Youngstown until moving to Lewis Center in 2001. She attended South High School. Throughout her life she had worked at various pharmacies, the Sheet and Tube Metallurgical Lab, and was a Tupperware representative. She married James W. Anderson on March 23, 1946 and was a loving wife, mother and homemaker, who loved to cook, golf and play cards. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1983. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cynthia L. Anderson, Greta Corey and Patricia (David) Murphy of Lewis Center, James C. (Trish) Anderson of Scottsdale, Arizona, and her half-sister, Audrey Hart of Scottsdale. Also left to cherish her memory are ten grandchildren; Christian, Nathan and Payton Murphy of Lewis Center, Jennifer Bernard, Michael Coleman, Kathy Gentile, Robert Corey, and Ryan Anderson of Phoenix, Rachel Anderson of Youngstown, Eric Anderson, USAF in Germany, and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Friendship Village of Dublin and HomeReach Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Village of Dublin, Heath Center, 6000 Riverside Dr., Dublin, Ohio 43071; or HomeReach Hospice, 3595 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43214. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Christine Church on Schenley Ave. with inurnment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH was honored to serve the Anderson family.
