Jean Ann King, 80, of Columbus, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 at Scioto Retirement Center. She was born July 26, 1930, in Columbus, daughter of the late Charles Earl and Della Mae Marshall Strait. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Richard King; son, Charles "Ric" Richard King; daughters, Florence Ellen Sims and Jean Adele Clark; great granddaughter, Amanda Plantz; sisters, Priscilla Erwin and Phyllis Irwin. She is survived by her son, William E. (Sharon) King; brother, Raymond Strait; sister, Charlotte Glick; grandchildren, James (Letty) Plantz, Christina Allen, Melissa (Robert) Rauen, Veronica (Todd) Noltemeyer, Crate "Tony" King and David Anthony Jester; sons-in-law, Ralph Clark and Larry Sims; daughter-in-law, Patricia King; fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City.
