Jean Brown

Jean Brown, age 93, of Hilliard, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024. She was born on June 15, 1930 to the late Mossimo and Gina Fortunato in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brown, her brother, James Fortunato, and sisters, Virginia Heinrich and Josephine Surace.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Terri Powers and Pamela (Jerry) Horn, her grandsons, Ryan Horn, Jerrad (Kara) Horn, and Dustin (Rosie) Horn, and her brother, Joseph Fortunato.

Mom was a member of Parson's Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. She was a follower of her Lord, Jesus Christ and devout Soul Winner who loved to read her Bible daily. She loved all things golf, the beach, bowling, and pink was her favorite color. She was an excellent cook and loved feeding her family.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at the Ashford at Sturbridge for taking such good care of their mother.

In honor of Jean, donations may be sent to Dementia Society of America.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2:00pm-4:00pm for calling hours at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. A Funeral Service will take place starting at 4:00pm.

A burial will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:00am at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
