Jean Ann Maskil Dugger, 62, of Newland, NC, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 9, 2007 at her home. She was born January 27, 1945 in Lancaster, Ohio, the daughter of Edna Sheets Maskil McCarty and the late George Maskil. Mrs. Dugger currently was employed in the produce department at Lowe's Foods in Banner Elk and was formerly employed by Food Lion in Banner Elk and Ingles Food Store in Newland. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Wilson Dugger; granddaughter, Teresa Kay Dugger and her mother-in-law, Hazel May Sparks Dugger. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Dugger; daughters, Michelle (Carl) Demko, Carol (Wendell) Gundy all of Columbus, OH., Angela (Michael) Greer of Pineola, NC., and Polly Maltba of Marion, NC; son, Avery Dugger of Crossnore, NC; grandchildren, Kristy Dugger, Jennifer Gundy, Amanda Bolin, Levi Maltba, Justine Gundy, Larry Maltba, Paulina Bolin, Jordan Gundy, Deziree Maltba and Austin Dugger; great-granddaughter, Haley Dugger; mother, Edna McCarty of Columbus, OH and two sisters, Connie Robinholt of Circleville, OH. and Carmen McCarty of Columbus, OH. Funeral services were conducted 8:00PM Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Russell Holman and Rev. Brent Price. The family received friends Friday evening 6:00-8:00PM at Austin & Barnes. Local visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 1:30PM Monday, May 14, 2007 with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, OH.
