Jean A. Edwards, 65, of Columbus, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. She was born May 12, 1941, in Columbus, daughter of the late John and Madge (Messer) Parrott. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Merrill G. Edwards; brother, James Parrott; sisters, Mary Tucker, Barbara Shaw, Verna Nance and Ernestine Roberts. Jean is survived by a son, Mark (Cauline) Edwards Sr.; daughter, Mardell (James) Meek; grandchildren, Mark Edwards Jr., Kaleigh and Allison Meek; great grandson, Tyler Gene Edwards; brothers, Henry (Donna) Parrott, Eck (Wanda) Parrott and Harry Parrott; sisters, Elizabeth Springer, Gladys (Gregg) Shirin and Marie Deyo; special friends, Beverly Buskirk, Bill and Evelyn Cox. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 7, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Northlawn Memory Gardens. Messages of condolence may be left at www.newcomerfamily.com
