Jean W. Ferry, 83, of Zanesville passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Emeritus at Pinnacle. She was born February 10, 1927, in Perry County, daughter of the late Henry L. and Estella F. Kennedy Starner. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest S. Ferry Jr.; brother, Robert Starner; brother-in-law, Ben Johnson and sister-in-law, Ellie Starner. She was a longtime employee of Pollocks Jewelry. Jean is survived by her brother, Max (Susan) Starner Grove City; sister, Rosalie J. Johnson of Newark; nieces and nephews, Lu (Tim) Fox, Glen (Carol) Starner and Mark Starner all of Lancaster, Karen (John) Thompson of Columbus, Rick (Michelle) Johnson of Texas, Lora (Chris) Schultz of Grove City, Stacy (John) Whitney of North Carolina, Lynnette Starner and Bart Starner both of Grove City. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Zanesville Memorial Park at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 322 Eighth Ave. New York, NY 10001.
