Jean Westfall

Ethel "Jean" (Huffman) Westfall was born on February 23, 1936 in Fergus Falls, MN and passed away March 5, 2024 peacefully at her home in Grove City, OH with her husband and two daughters by her side, smiling as she transitioned to heaven and into the arms of her heavenly Father.
Jean is survived by her Husband: Wyman Westfall; Daughters: Lori Dahmes (Kenn Dahmes) and Nancy Hallstrom; Son-in-law: Roger Ouse; Sister: Helen Sheldon (David Sheldon); Brother: Robert Huffman (Kathy Huffman); Sister-in-law: Barbara Huffman; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren
Jean is preceded in death by Sons: Bryan Westfall and Paul Westfall; Daughter: Karen Ouse; Parents: Elmer Huffman and Doris Whitney; Brothers: David Huffman and Earl Huffman; and Sister: Edna Holmquist
Jean was a Homemaker. She also worked for Weight Watchers International as a group leader for 14 years and JC Penney as an associate for many years.
Jean grew up in rural Henning, Minnesota. She married Wyman Westfall on November 15, 1955. Together, they ran the family farm and raised 5 children. Following the unexpected death of their two sons in 1982, Jean and Wyman moved to Fargo, ND and then spent some years in Mesa, Arizona. In 1997, the next move took them back to the Dalton, MN area where they spent their summers and then Bradenton, FL in the winter. In April of 2016, Jean and Wyman made the decision to move to Grove City OH to be closer to family.
Jean and Wyman suffered a great deal of loss in their lives but Jean rarely, if ever, complained about her aches and pains or her circumstances. She was known to strike up a conversation with whomever she was around and always found a way to speak about Jesus. Jean was a prayer warrior, and her prayer journals attest to her faithfulness in praying for others. Jean was a fixer and always looking for ways to solve problems for others. She was kind and had a generous heart, enjoyed entertaining and was an extraordinary hostess.
Memorial Gathering Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10am until the time of Memorial Service at 11am at First Baptist Church of Grove City, 3301 Orders Rd., Grove City, OH 43123.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's memory to Wycliffe Bible Translators or First Baptist Church of Grove City.
