Jeannette Lockridge

November 6, 1943 — February 15, 2024

Jeannette Lockridge (Jeannie/Jean) our cherished mother, beloved grandmother, sister, aunt, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her parents Laura and Harry Warren. Survived by brother David Warren (Annette) and sister Sharon Barnette of Texas. Deeply loved and missed by her surviving children John (Myra), Ted, Laura, Mike, and Vincent/Scott. As a grandmother she was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought strength and joy into her life.

Beyond the dedication to her family, Jean was an advocate and supporter of many charitable organizations such as Holy Family Church, Native American cultures and animal rescue. Earlier in life she was very active on her CB radio (Raindrop), enjoyed archery, and horses all of her life.

As a single working mother, she went to Bliss Business College and was employed as an accountant at Marsala, Inc., a wholesale jewelry company until retirement. We will all feel a deep void in our lives because of her giving spirit and love for all of us.

As a tribute to Jeannie, we will carry on the lessons we've learned from her, such as kindness and guidance and her love for the Lord. Please share your memories and stories with the family.

Any donations can be made to Holy Family Church.

God saw you were getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So, He put his arms around you
And He whispered come with me.

With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
And watched you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating.
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
That He only takes the best.

It's lonely here without you.
We miss you more each day.
Life doesn't seem the same
Since you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
Cheer up and carry on.

Each time we see your picture
You seem to smile and say,
Don't cry, I'm in God's hands.
We'll meet again someday.
