Jeffrey (Jeff) L. Keating (61) of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away after a brief illness at Riverside Hospital in the hands of his Lord and Savior on December 18, 2024. He was born on April 10th, 1963, in Miamisburg, Ohio to the late James Keating Sr and Sara (Elliott) Keating Bennett. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Sue Munroe Keating, his 3 children Morgan Brittany, Courtney Lynn, and Joshua Dale, along with his future daughter-in-law Autumn Foster. He is also survived by his siblings; Jim (Lisa) Keating, Carrie (Matt) Perry, Lisa Keating, Eddie (Tabitha) Bennett, and two half-sisters Mona (Scott) Peck and Tina Keating. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Dale and Carolyn Munroe, sister-in-law Debbie (Mike) Moon, and brother-in-law Greg (Allyssa) Munroe—several nieces and nephews.

Jeff graduated from Springfield South High School/ Clark County JVS in 1981. He went to Clark Technical College and studied computer science. He worked for Cooper Energy Services, Red Roof Inn/ Motel 6 call centers, and York/ Sedgwick. 

He told his family he wanted to be home by Christmas, and little did they all know that is exactly where he went, his eternal home with Jesus. He was a devout Christian and loved to sing praises to his Lord. He was a member of Meadow Park Church of God. He served on the church board and loved to serve his Lord in this capacity. He had a passion for sharing God’s word while working with teens and adults. 

Jeff loved traveling, playing games, bowling, and playing baseball/ softball. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed every chance he got to cheer on his sports teams with his family. 

Jeff will be remembered for his compassion, his dad jokes, and the love he expressed to so many and for all the lives he touched while here on earth. His legacy will live on through the others in his life he touched along the way through his faith and love. Jeff was known for his willingness to drop everything for those he loved. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday December 28, 2024 at 10:30 am at Meadow Park Church of God on Bethel Road Columbus, Ohio.
