Jennifer Wilford

August 4, 1944 — February 1, 2022

Jennifer (Hankins) Wilford, of Dublin, Ohio, born August 4, 1944 and raised in eastern Kentucky, moved on to be with her Lord on February 1, 2022. She passed peacefully in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Officer Curtis Staton, her parents, Glenn and Anna Hankins, grandparents, William and Mary Vada Hankins and Robert and Mary McKee and nieces, Wendy and Sandy Phillips. Jennifer was active at Worthington Christian Church, where she was a member of the Seekers Class and helped with the Toddler class, as well as, the Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child.

Jennifer is survived by her husband of 27 years, Edward Wilford, her beloved pet Lily, her daughters, Annalicia Staton of Upper Arlington, OH, Amanda Staton of Dublin, OH, and Bethany Staton Kamer of Hilliard, OH; step-sons, Brian (Paulina) Wilford of South Hampton, NH, Douglas (Brenda) Wilford of Redding, CA and Mark (Linda) Wilford of Johnstown, OH, and grandchildren, Zachary (Betsy) Smith, Jacob (Brianna) Smith, Lucas Smith, Julia Marie Smith, Madison and Mikayla Kamer, Andrew Wilford, Bethany (Patrick) Chrisholm, Allison, Joshua and Abby Wilford and Nicholas (Mariah) and Madison Wilford and great grandson, River Joseph Smith. She is also survived by siblings, Thomas (Dawn) Hankins of Belfry, KY, Mary Ann (Curtis Darrell) Williams of Galena, OH, Nancy (Boyd) Phillips of Shelbyville, KY and Cindy (Rob) Robertson of Hurricane, WV, along with numerous nieces and nephews and several great nephews.

Jennifer was proud of her days working with the Curtain Callers of the Columbus Junior Theater (now Columbus Children's Theater) and BalletMet. She retired from OhioHealth, where she worked in marketing and served as a corporate event planner. Her passion was sailing, which was a passion shared with her husband Ed. They were married in Annapolis, MD at the Harmond Harwood House on September 29, 1995, and spent many years sailing on Lake Erie.

A small family gathering will take place on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Newcomer in Powell. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm- 2:00pm and a small service will take place at 2:00pm.

A celebration of Jennifer Wilford's life will be held this Spring 2022 for friends and family. Details will be sent out at a later date.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Jennifer's name to Worthington Christian Church, 8145 N High St, Columbus, OH 43235.
