Jerry graduated from Colonel White High School in Dayton, attended Earlham College and graduated from THE Ohio State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Jerry retired from Fisher Guide in 1996.
Prior to his retirement and in any free time he could find Jerry enjoyed working in his yard planting both vegetables and flowers. He grew some of the biggest and best tomatoes ever and won several awards given out by the local Civic Association for the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood. It was while working in the yard that he felt closest to his God. He loved being out of doors enjoying all of God’s creation.
When weather didn’t permit him to be working outside he spent many hours inside doing word jumbles and jigsaw puzzles. His favorites were shaped puzzles and he never looked at the pictures once the puzzle was opened.
Jerry spent many happy hours playing with his children and grandchildren and as they grew he supported them in various school and community activities
As a member of New Life Church in Gahanna, Ohio Jerry formed many wonderful life-long friendships.
