Jerry Lee Humphrey

We are sad to announce the passing of Jerry Lee Humphrey, age 55, of Columbus, Ohio. After a long battle with cancer, God called Jerry home on Monday March, 11th, 2024 while surrounded by loved ones. Jerry was a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed.

Born on July 30th, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio to Marilyn and Eugene Humphrey, Jerry was the youngest of four brothers. He attended East High School and following high school, he pursued a career in the Railroad Industry. Jerry met his soulmate, Dana Humphrey, on April 28th, 2003 and went on to share a beautiful life together for the next twenty-one years until his passing.

Jerry was a kindhearted and caring soul that was very thoughtful and selfless. He was also strong willed and very determined person. He was a fighter and never gave up once he had his mindset to something. Jerry enjoyed fishing and bowling on his free time and he loved rooting for his favorite football teams the Browns and Michigan University.

Jerry is survived by his two brothers Jeffery Humphrey and James (Melinda) Humphrey, two nieces Kaylin Humphrey and Ashley Humphrey, five great nieces and nephews Bradley Harden, Amiyah West, Nathan Humphrey, Gracelyn Smith, and Devin Smith, his very dear friend Dorthea (Grandma) Davis, and extended family.

Jerry is proceeded in death by his soulmate Dana Humphrey, parents Eugene and Marilyn Humphrey, brother John Humphrey, great nephew Daxton Smith and great niece among numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

As per Jerry's wishes, no funeral or memorial will be held. Jerry will forever be in our hearts and will be missed dearly.
