Jerry L. Watkins (Poncho), 53 years of age, life time Grove City resident, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 22nd, 2010. Jerry retired after thirty years of service as a Materials Analyst for General Motors in Columbus, Ohio. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Watkins. Jerry was survived by his loving and devoted wife of 33 years, Leann (Messer) Watkins, mother and father in-law, John and Betty Messer, one daughter, Michelle (Troy) Nemes, one son, Darrell (Debbie) Watkins, six grandchildren: Chris and Vicky Nemes, Anna, Aaron, Adrian and Autumn Watkins, sister-in-law, Tammy Smith, nieces: Denise (Billy) Dowell and April (Kenny) Morris, mother, Beatrice Clark Watkins, and sister, Connie Watkins, and many more family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 25th, 2010, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Service will be Monday, April 26th, 2010, at 11:00 AM, all at Newcomer Funeral Home SW, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
Interment in Concord Cemetery.
