Jerry Dale Pounds

Jerry Dale Pounds was born August 18, 1955 in Columbus, MS to the late Jewerline and Mathis Pounds.

He departed this earthly life on October 7, 2021 at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where he resided.

He was always the of the party. He enjoyed skating on Monday and Friday nights, cooking fried chicken, singing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Community Temple of God in Christ for many years and sung in the choir.

He worked at the United Telephone Company and Western House for many years. He also worked for the railroad in Fort Wayne, IN.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Linda Sue Pounds; his parents, Jewerline and Mathis Pounds and sister Denise Ann Pounds.

He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Jeremy Keith Pounds; daughter, Nasha Ann Pounds; granddaughter, Terryiona Robinson; sisters, Mira Jean Windham and Jewell Fay Melton; brother, Eric Steve (Deborah) Pounds and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, uncle and aunts and friends.

Jerry will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 11am until the time of service at 12pm at Community Temple Church of God 338 Harker St. Mansfield, OH 44903 with Elder Bradley officiating.
