Jerry Ricketts

Jerry W. Ricketts, age 85, of Galena, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2024. He was born on February 8, 1939 to the late James and Dee Ricketts in Columbus, Ohio.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Trisha Smith, his daughter-in-law, Crystal Ricketts, and his great-nephew, Jaret Cerino.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Jill Ricketts, his children, John Ricketts, Tina (Mark) Watkins, Tim Smith, Travis (Tiffany) Dixon, and Trulee (Tom) Barnett, his siblings, Jayne Starkey, Jim (Ruth) Ricketts, and Jeff (Mary) Ricketts, his grandchildren, Morgan and Macie Watkins, Garrett and Griffin Dixon, Jagger, Jaylee, and Jersey Barnett, special pets, Charlie and Chester, lifelong best friend, Gary Gabriel, many nieces and nephews and family.

He loved boating and fishing. He was a Navy Veteran and spent most of his time serving on U.S.S. Antares. He was also a proud member of the Grove City Masonic Lodge. He was a very hard worker. He was still working full-time for Kwest. He took great care of himself. He loved spending holidays with his family. He was a master on the grill and cooked amazing ribs. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 4:00pm-7:00pm for calling hours at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. An additional visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 9:00am-10:00am, with a Funeral Service following starting at 10:00am with Pastor Jim Blankenship officiating. A burial will take place at Galloway Cemetery.
