Jerry S. Stainer, 68, of Grove City, OH, passed away October 6, 2013.
Jerry retired from Nationwide Insurance and served in the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army.
He was born in Columbus on March 19, 1945 to Harry and Evelyn Stainer, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his step-father, Chester D. Patrick.
Surviving family includes, wife, Deborah, children, Carol (Scott) Thompson, Lori Stainer, Amy (Richard) Gill, David Stainer, grandchildren, Shelly (Michael) Wilson, Wendy Whitmer, Mikey (Kim) Whitmer, Eva Conheeney, Elainey Stainer, Makayla Lingerfelt, 9 great-grandchildren, siblings, Robert Stainer, Janice Miller, Carla Atkinson, Rita DeVore, Michael Patrick and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30am, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Obetz Cemetery, Obetz, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-FRAO 5555 Frantz Road Dublin, OH 43017 or to the Capital Area Humane Society 3015, Scioto Darby Executive Ct. Hilliard, OH 43026-8990.
