Jerry Viers, age 72, left this earth too soon unexpectedly on April 4, 2013. He was born Nov. 13, 1940 in Columbus, OH.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Gladys Viers; siblings, Oakley, Jean, Mary and Beatrice; son-in-law, Dale W. Andrews and brother-in-law, Bill Tucker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Judy (Tucker) Viers whom he married on June 14th, 1966. She was his devoted wife and true soul mate. Also survived by children, Tina (Paul) Beekman of Big Plain, OH, (Austin) Buddy Hartsook of Saint Petersburg, FL, and Ellie Andrews of Columbus; grandchildren, Maryann (Charles) Lafollette, Charlie (Tracy) Hartsook, Shawn Hartsook, Judy (Garry) Hammons, Lisa (Brian) Brooks and Dale Andrews; great-grandchildren, Chaz (Pamela) Curry, Cory, Tawny Curry, Colton, Parker, Myia, CJ, Aryanna, Sophiyah, Alyiah, Zach, Logan, Breanna, Brittany, Victoria, Shawnee, Dustin, Brian,Jacob,Natalie and Niya; great-great-grandchildren, Lane Owen, Payton and Cloighi; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty (Eddie) Francis, John (Debbie) Tucker, Anna Decker and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and tons of friends.
He's a retired painter and family came first to him. Jerry was an avid Michigan fan, GO BLUE! He loved riding bikes, horses and going to grandkids activities.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 with funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made at any Huntington Bank in Jerry's memory.
