Jimmy Hairston, 66, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on April 4, 1955 in Gilliam, West Virginia to John Oakes and Bertha Hagwood.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his brother, Jasper Hairston; nephew, Donnie Hairston and niece, Tina M. Hairston.
Jimmy is survived by his sister, Betty Gary; house-mother, Pam Springer; friend, Gary Armstrong; nieces and nephews, Drema Hairston, Johnny Hairston, Wendy Hairston, Tina Hairston, Richard Hairston, Troy Hairston; great-niece, Iesha Hairston, great-great-niece, Victorious Hairston and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2:00pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Columbus, OH.
