Jo Ann Rainey (aka Ward), 69, of Columbus, formerly of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away September 20, 2006. She was born October 19, 1936 in Point Pleasant, WV to Marion and Virginia (Spears) Rainey. Sister of Leonard (Nancy) Rainey, Marion W. (Doris) Rainey, Edward (Ruby) Rainey, Linda (Dean) Martin. She is also survived by her beloved companion and soulmate, Donald V. Cobb; daughters, Diane Ward, Sandra Flowers; 5 stepchildren, Debbie (Bart) Price, Bobbie (Tim Walker) Rodgers, Steve (Pam) Cobb, Beckie (Jeff) Hornbeck, Kelly Lewis; 8 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 23 step great-grandchildren; special friend Dory and her grandson, Kavan. Jo was a member of Hilliard Women of the Moose since 1977, where she holds the degree of College of Regents. Local visitation will be held 2:00-6:00PM Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio with a Women of the Moose Regent service beginning at 4:00PM. Visitation will also be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM at Willis Funeral Home, 12 Garfield Ave. Gallipolis, Ohio. Graveside services will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Reynolds Cemetery, Addison, Ohio. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com
