Joan Aeh

Joan A. Aeh, 74, of Westerville, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022. Joan was born May 19, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio to Bruce and Virginia (Johnston) Eberhard. Joan retired from Westerville City Schools after thirty plus years as a lead-lunch-lady.

Joan enjoyed talking on the phone ("Joan on the phone"), playing cards, Bingo, or Bunco with friends, going to movies, vacations, eating out, taking drives, shopping, home improvements, family reunions, spending time with her immediate family, and other activities. Since her stroke she has enjoyed riding in the Braunability van, dining out, going to movies, and trying slots at the casino.

Joan will be deeply missed by Rich Aeh, her husband of 55 years; Daughter Teri (Aeh) Damron (James); Grandson Richard Conley (Ashley); Granddaughter Nicole (Dollar) O'Keeffe (Chris); Granddaughter Natalie Dollar; brothers Ron Eberhard (Carol) and Craig Eberhard (Vicki); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joan was preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Virginia Eberhard and her daughter Tammy (Aeh) Dollar, S-I-L Coy Dollar and best friend Toni Schull.

Special thanks to the nurses, aids, and all the employees of Westerwood (Friendship Village Columbus) who have been such a large part of Joan's life for the past few years.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Memorial services will be afterward beginning 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
