Joan Marie Brosnahan (nee Brosseau), 84, passed away January 11, 2024 in New Albany, Ohio, formerly of Aiken, SC. She was preceded in death by husband, James W. Brosnahan; brother, Don E. Brosseau; father, Don A. Brosseau; mother, Mary C. Brosseau; and granddaughter, Emily Brosnahan. Joan is survived by sons, James P. (Lisa), John T. (Jennifer), and Joseph M. (Phoebe) Brosnahan; siblings, John J. (Janet) Brosseau and Mary L. Brosseau; brother-in-law, Patrick (Joan) Brosnahan; grandchildren, Caitlin (Nick) Gregory, Jimmy Brosnahan, and Samantha Brosnahan; great-grandson, Sean Patrick Gregory and one great-grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.
Joan was born in Chicago, IL on August 29, 1939. She was a graduate of Slippery Rock University. Joan worked as a Research Librarian in Peters Township, PA. She was an amazing baker and always had dessert before her meal to make sure she had room. Joan enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful seamstress. She was a terrific writer and even won a full scholarship to Marquette University. Joan never knew a stranger and was approachable to all who crossed her path.
