Joan E. DiCesare, 73, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010. Joan was born in Columbus, OH. to Howard E. and Margaret R. (Wright) Wilson on June 29, 1937, and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul L. DiCesare; two brothers, Howard and Thomas Wilson; special friend, John D. Kromer. Survivors include daughters, Diana L. (Brian R.) Davis, Roseann Kroyer, Paula J. DiCesare, Mary Margaret (Lenny D) Weidner Jr, Rhonda M. DiCesare; son, Paul Michael (Toni M) DiCesare; sister, Lyndell M. (Robert) Allen; grandchildren, Renae (Nick) Sinclair, Shane (Angela Rostorfer) Kroyer, Stephanie (Gilbert) Cueva, Amanda (Will) Doane; great-grandchildren, Kayla Rose, Kyle, Jacob, Lucas; sisters-in-law, Betty Priest, Mae (Ron) Rooker, Donna Norris; brothers-in-law, Frank (Leona) DiCesare and Jim Dixon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Joan loved children, including other people's children, and was known as "the lady with many names". Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010, 6-8PM and Friday, October 15, 2010, 2-4PM & 6-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010, 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 313 North State Street, Westerville, OH 43082 with Father David E. Gwinner, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital Foundation, PO Box 16810, Columbus, OH 43272-5117.
