Joan Hammond

Joan Lea Hammond, 70, of Columbus, OH, went home to be with her Lord on November 12, 2023. She was born April 30, 1953, in Columbus to Dorsey and Frances (Stollings) Ferrell. She graduated from Mifflin High School and Ohio State University with a degree in medical dietetics. She was a longtime member of Westerville Bible Church where she served in teaching, music, and organizing meals. Joanie will be deeply missed by her children Robert (Sara) and David, 6 beloved grandchildren, her siblings Doris Scheidegger, Pam Mangan, and Rick Ferrell, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband Harold Hammond, her sister Jean Beard, and her brother Dennis Ferrell.

A visitation will be held at Westerville Bible Church, 2665 Schrock Rd. Westerville, Ohio 43081 on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 11:00-12:30 pm followed by a service officiated by Pastor Paul Hamilton at 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westerville Bible Church Missions Fund.
