Joan E. (Norris) Hartley age 79 of Columbus passed away Sunday Evening May 8, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, after a short battle with pneumonia and heart failure. It was Mothers' Day and she was greeted in Heaven by Jesus and her loving daughter Cindy. She was born June 2, 1926 at Celina, Ohio. Joan was a retired nurse with service at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus Health Department and Northland Terrace. She was a member of New Life Community Church of Gahanna. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Cochran, and her brothers Bill Norris and Alfred Jay Norris. Mrs. Hartley is survived by her husband, Howard Sr., son Howard Jr., daughter Kathy (David) Collins; grandchildren Bill Cochran, Brian (Dr. Julie) Cochran, Hannah Collins, Emily Collins, Nathan Hartley, Michael Hartley (USMC) and Stephen Hartley. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12, 2005 from 4-8 PM at The Newcomer Funeral Home 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road Columbus 43231; The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Friday, May 13, 2005 at New Life Community Church 3690 N.
