Joan Mathews, age 81 of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2020. She was born on June 12, 1939 to the late William and Sophie (Zielinski) Kriston in Pittsburgh, PA.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Frederick Mathews, granddaughter Jessica Mathews.
Joan is survived by her children Jackie (Darlene) Newman, Donna (Lera) Sturgell, Frederick (Christine) Mathews and Thomas Mathews, grandchildren Drew, Kaitlyn, and Jason Sturgell, Daniel (Taylar) Mathews and Courtney (Matthew) Barnhart, Heather (Dustin) Dennie and Hayley (Munich) Mercado, great grandchildren Finnley Mathews and Lyla Mercado, sister Jean Stuebgen.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 2:00pm at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Delaware, Ohio.
