JoAnn "Jodi" Hill-Reynolds

JoAnn (Jodi) Hill-Reynolds passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of Friday, June 7, 2024 in Lewis Center, OH. She was born on October 31, 1946 at California's Stanford Hospital. Jodi was raised in Palo Alto, CA where she graduated from Cubberly High School in 1964. She went on to attend San Jose State College and would always share fond memories of her time there where she was a Delta Zeta. Following graduation in 1969, Jodi went on to pursue a career in education. 

During her college years she met Larry Reynolds from Newark, OH, and they were married shortly after his enlistment in the U.S. Air Force was completed. 

Soon after Jodi's graduation from college the couple moved from San Jose to Columbus where Jodi was employed as an elementary teacher in several city schools. 

Those years were spent in northern Columbus where they lived and raised their two daughters, Jennifer and Jessica. After 20 plus years as a teacher, Jodi retired from the Columbus public school system. Those who knew Jodi remember her as a warm friend, a loving wife and mother, and a doting grandmother. She loved to cook, sew, and travel and developed a fondness for the Florida gulf coast where they visited frequently. And of course, her California home was always a favorite destination. 

She is predeceased by father Robert Hill and mother Lois Hill of Carmel California. 

She is survived by husband Larry Reynolds; daughters Jessica (Matt) Herrmann and children Justin Wagner, Jenna Wagner and Maddison Herrmann; daughter Jennifer (Jason) Woodrow and children Alexis Woodrow and Caitlin Woodrow; brother James Hill and his wife Sheila Hill; and numerous family, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 12pm at their home in Lewis Center, OH.
